Bass Knocker is a StudioVerse mixing rack designed to give your bass and 808s the depth, power and controlrequired in modern productions.

Instead of loading multiple plugins and tweaking several parameters, Bass Knocker simplifies the process into a set of carefully designed macro controls that shape compression, harmonics, tone and low-end behavior.

Each macro has been carefully calibrated so you can’t easily over-process the signal, one of the most common problems when working with bass and sub frequencies. This allows you to move quickly while keeping the low end tight, controlled and powerful.

The result: bass that hits harder, sits perfectly with the kick and translates across different playback systems.

Key Controls

Leveller

A compression control designed to stabilize the bass level while automatically adjusting attack and release times. Lower settings keep the bass dynamic, while higher values increase sustain and consistency.

OvrDrv

Adds overdrive and harmonic content in the upper frequencies so bass and 808s translate better on smaller speakers and devices that cannot reproduce deep sub frequencies.

Tone

Adds presence to the bass so it cuts through the mix without losing its weight in the low end.

VOG (Voice Of God)

Activates a curve inspired by the classic Voice Of God processing, boosting around 40 Hz to add depth, body and weight to bass and 808s.

HPF

High-pass filter used to remove excessive sub frequencies and clean up unnecessary low-end energy.

Space for Kick

Dynamic processing that uses the kick as a trigger to create space in the bass whenever both elements compete in the same frequency range, improving the relationship between kick and bass.

Low Control

Intelligent resonance suppression designed to keep subs and low frequencies controlled and balanced.

De-Muddy

Reduces problematic frequencies where the bass can cloud the mix or compete with instruments like pianos, guitars or even vocals.
